A 'Digital Driving License' system is being introduced for the primary time in Pakistan for the citizens in Punjab, which can simplify the method of obtaining a driver's license.
This digital driver's license system, which has been introduced together with Punjab Information Technology Board and policeman Rawalpindi, will ease the effort of citizens by issuing driving licenses only on Identity Cards (ID) cards rather than an extended cycle of paperwork.
With this new system, citizens whose driving licenses have expired also will be ready to get their licenses back through this digital platform.
Under the digital driver's license system, citizens will only need to submit their national card and bank challan, additionally to which they're going to not need any documents.
It is pertinent to say that before this technique was introduced, the citizens had to attend within the long queues to urge their driver's license. However, the method took months and excessive documentation which sometimes was a hassle for applicants.
